Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been working with Johnta Austin on new music for her upcoming studio album. Music producer Alex Da Kid reported on his Twitter.

“Alex Da Kid + Jennifer Lopez + Johnta Austin = ????? She Went in on these Vocals Yo!” Alex wrote on his Twitter page. Other info about the song, including its title and when it will come out, are still under wraps. Stay tuned…[/center:abxjbu0l]

VMA 2009: Alicia Keys Will Perform, Eminem Will Appear, And Jennifer Lopez Will Present!

We're just days away from the 2009 MTV VMAs at Radio City Music Hall, and the celebrity guests and big-name announcements and appearances are flooding in.

Just announced this morning...

+ Alicia Keys will join Jay-Z onstage for his live performance of "Empire State of Mind" off of Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 album. (Put it on repeat... Now.)

+ Eminem will appear on stage at the VMAs! (Will he get a bare ass to the face again? Probably not, but he was such a good sport at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards...)

+ MTV legend Jennifer Lopez has been added to the list of 2009 VMA presenters!

Song-writing duo Aplus (Antea & Anesha) have revealed some new information on Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming album, which they’re currently working on alongside the diva.

Her project has a general concept. Not to give away too much detail but it is very much written based solely on her life and who she is right now and how she feels and has felt throughout her life about certain topics.

[The vibe of the album] is genuine and heartfelt. Classic records and club records. Relatable records no matter how old you are or where your “hood” is.

Aplus also confirmed that Jennifer had been co-writing a lot of the songs with them, including “One Love” which was believed to be about Jennifers long list of famous exes when it leaked online earlier this year.

Co-writes were necessary in order for some songs to really reflect Jennifer as a person. She is great to work with and interact with. In the writing process, she candidly told stories and expressed her heart and her life. We bounced lines around between all of us until we came up with EXACTLY what needed to be said to get the point across!

[Jennifer came up with the idea for "One Love"] Prior to her jumping in with us, the lyrics were more general but she spilled out her life and we switched everything around to fit her love scenarios specifically.

The duo also insisted that despite her infamous reputation, Jennifer was a pleasure to work with.

Jennifer is a complete joy to be around. Not cocky. No ego. Not superficial. She is very real and very fun to work with. No diva antics. AT ALL.

I mean, she invited us into her home to work. That alone shows how real and down to earth she is.

JLo’s new album is yet to have an official release date announced, but other confirmed collaborators include Ryan Leslie, Darkchild, Danja, D’Mile, and many more.

Jenny’s really taking her sweet time with this album, but I guess it’s because she wants to make sure it’s perfect. It’s no secret that if this record bombs she can basically kiss goodbye to music career on a large scale. She’ll always sell records but I’m just talking in terms of being hugely successful, top 5 singles etc.

The album sounds like it’s coming along well, but I don’t think it’s going to be some big deep concept. It’ll be a typical Jennifer Lopez urban-dance-pop album, but maybe a little more personal. The only question is are the public still interested in her as a pop star? I know I definitely am[/center:118jvpzk].

Apparently, the album, which was originally scheduled to be released in January, is now going to be released in the first week of December.

What does everybody think of On The Floor (feat. Pitbull)? Its probably my favourite song of 2011 so far (all half a month :P ). Its received over 200 plays on my iTunes, and I think its absolutely SENSATIONAL!

Serious return to form. This and What Is Love have been my favourites so far.

Jennifer Lopez is making sure the time is right for Love? The “American Idol” judge has shifted the release date for her seventh studio album to next month.


Previously slated for March 29, Island Def Jam has marked April 19 as the new drop date for Love?, Rap-Up.com has learned. The album is led by the RedOne-produced single “On the Floor” featuring Pitbull and will feature production from Tricky Stewart and The-Dream.

The video for “On the Floor” is set to premiere Thursday on “Idol” and VEVO. Fans were asked to vote for the ending they liked best. Watch a teaser of the TAJ-directed clip below.

Fantastic tracklist! The Deluxe! Wow! 16 songs!

I'm super happy. I haven't heard many leaks at all (in fact all I've heard is "On The Floor", "What Is Love?" and "Everybody's Girl" in awful quality). SO I'm so excited for the album.

Could easily become my favourite release of 2011 by miles so far.

Btw, was "Hypnotico" confirmed to be the Tami Chynn cover?
