so it's been in the news lately how nurses are treating patients in hospitals, a lot of the things mentioned (such as taking away the patience call bell, not giving them clean sheets etc) i think is disgusting.
have you had any experiences, and what do you think of this

I haven't experienced anything liek this myself, however I have met a few people who work for the NHS and the impression I get is that they feel underpaid and overworked.
This is in no way an excuse for their behaviour, they know what they are signing up for when they take the job, the complete lack humanity in soem of the staff is beyond me.

I personally have never had any bad experiences with them. However, I do very strongly feel that they are the reason my great Grandad (after being diagnosed with stomach cancer) are the reason for him leaving us so soon :(

awww Wayney  My dad died of stomach cancer also.
Can I just say that he was looked after by the Macmillan Trust. It's a charity funded organisation and the nurses are very underpaid but they were AMAZING. They do not get enough credit. I think if they can go the extra mile then the NHS should be able to atleast come up to par.

Macmillan - yes! I completely agree. Once we were told that my Grandad only had a few weeks left, Macmillan nurses came on an almost daily basis to make sure that he was comfortable and well - my family still support Macmillan to this day. They are real unsung heroes!
