8 years ago today Aaliyah Dana Haughton died at the age of 22 in a tragic plane crash.

Here's a reminder of why Aaliyah was one of RnB's brightest stars.

I amended the embedding ;) When you embed with a youtube clip:

...You only need to keep the code, and get rid of the rest of the url! :D

Aaliyah ...

Whilst I've never latched onto her discography (she's not quite to my taste), I still listen to the odd song of hers - Miss You, Try Again and that modern classic, More Than A Woman. I do however agree with the statement that she was "gone too soon". As I said she wasn't overly to my liking, but I do acknowledge that she had a massive future.

RIP.

Eh, overrated but Aaliyah is a good album. Just not as good as people make it out to be.

We Need A Resolution , Try Again, More than A Woman and If Your girl Only knew are 4 of my favorite songs of all time. Aaliyah and AANBAN were two staggeringly good and groundbreaking R&B/Hip-Hop albums. I love her musical style. RIP Baby Girl...
