HP6 just became the most successful film of 2009!

Harry Potter and the half Blood Prince just grossed $886,038,524 making it the most successful film of 2009, surpassing it's nearest competitior, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The movie has not been released in Greece yet, where it will make an additional 4-6 million USD as usual. It hasn't finished it's chart-run in the US or the UK Box Office, and it is still ranking in the top 5 or the top 10 of several countrieal. IMO HP6 will manage to make about 950,000,000 and if it is lucky enough, it will become the first HP film to surpass the billion mark! 8-)

What do you guys expect that the film will gross? 900 million, 950 million, 1 billion?

Film grosses was my first love before I began work on my chart analysis database (over 4 years ago!) and I just was addicted to following the national charts each week. I think this will probably gross about another $65-75m

I believe that HP6 might have some potential to reach 1 billion USD. it's a pity, cause it's the most successful film series (more successful than James Bond currently) and all of the HP films have grossed between 800 million - 975 million. I want one billion grossing HP film! :shock: :lol:

Yeah, it has stalled at 920,000,000 USD now. Anyway, as you said, the 2 last movies will have better luck in crossing the billion mark, hopefully!... ;)
