As a fan since the very beginning, I actually won't be sad to see it cancelled as it hasn't been funny at all for the past decade.

Almost everyone I've come across has said this, and that it hasn't been funny since about season 7/8/9. I cannot believe that the voice over stars are not willing to bear the brunt of this economic crisis, like us normal folk have had too. Its not like these people have mortgages to pay - they have earned enough over the years to pay for mansions - and multiple mansions - outright. For the record of those that don't know, the voice over stars for the Simpsons currently earn around $400,000 per episode - roughly $8m per season. They are being asked to take a pay cut of 45% - so they'll be earning roughly $215,000 per episode - and they won't do it. And are threatening to work. This isn't the same environment it was 10 years ago, when the Simpsons was massively popular. Added to which, the economy was a different place in the USA 10 years ago.
Selfish bastard actors.

About damn time! Since Family Guy came out The Simpsons has completely paled in comparison. And for the record I hate their annoying voices, in my opinion they oughta pay ME for annoying my ears.
