The one earlier this week with a woman called Amy on was excellent. Gordon walked out at one point.
I love it and watch it every week, some of them have even brought a tear to my eye.

I think it was in the last series or the one before that. A family run chinese restaurant and both the kids and their parents worked there. The dad was totally in denial and was being quite horrible to the family because he was under so much pressure and they were going to lose the house and the restaurant. The kids were in their late teens/early twenties and worked there full time for no pay but didn't want to let the family down by going off to college like they wanted to. Gordon really made a difference to the dad by telling it like it was.

Ignore me! :D
But I love Hell's Kitchen too. I like slagging off the bitches and wasters.

OMG, I watched an episode of Kitchen Nightmares recently [is it like the US equivalent of Restaurant Inspector, where Ramsay goes in to try and turn round a restaurant?] where this really snotty American woman that was incredibly arrogant and couldn't take criticism from anybody. And actually told Ramsay to get out of her restaurant at one point! haha

If it was the one where the business partner was a gay man, worried he was going to lose the business and be sacked from his mortgage advisor job it was the same one I watched. She was awful to the staff and the food was crap but everybody was too scared to tell her.

Yes! That was it, I think I shed a tear at that actually. When near the end, she finally relinquished her grip, and she admitted that she'd been wrong all this time, and she gave him a hug! I was like "aww" @ her. Her food did look shit before Ramsay went in though didn't it?
Do you watch the Restaurant Inspector Cath? Its a proper, low budget version of Kitchen Nightmares. Its hilarious lol.

No I've never watched Restaurant Inspector. It's on a Monday at 9pm isn't it? Which is, unfortunately, Bear Grylls' new series time in our house.

Oh I don't know when it airs on terrestrial TV, I always catch up on BT Vision :D Its soooo good. The man that plays the inspector is NOTHING like Gordon Ramsay, he's much more tactful and offers much better advice. However, its no less entertaining - although the restaurants are SOOO tacky lol. Like last time, the restaurant was literally somebody's front room/kitchen/lounge converted into a seaside restaurant :P

I have no idea how any of the staff could work for that woman. And what about sweaty Steve the maitre'd? Do you think he's one of those weird-looking englishmen who move to America because they've no chance of getting a girl over here?
:D

LMAO, yes something like that. Doesn't say a whole lot about American women though doesn't it. It sounds like he's putting on an accent lol. I've always been suspicious of people that have red faces and constantly sweat! :P
I couldn't either ever work for her; however, as a woman and all she's achieved, she's a winner at life. Especially given that she grew up without a mum :( Like Gordon, my mum is the most important person in my life, and I couldn't imagine how that poor Jamaican woman must've felt at times. I like the woman, I hate the boss! I did like as the end neared, you could see the staff being more supportive, and her actually accepting their support.
OMG just seen that man's teeth - the one that went to America to get a woman!
