There's no change at the top of the UK chart as LMFAO's 'Party rock anthem' sails on at number 1 for a 4th week; leaving Bruno Mars’ ‘Lazy song’ at number 2 for a second week having leaped up to the runner up position last week.
The highest new entry arrives at 3, a collaboration of the unstoppable French DJ David Guetta, US rapper/singer/song-writer Nicki Minaj and US R&B star Flo Rida entitled ‘Where them girls at’. It’s David’s 12th UK Top 40 hit, having had 4 number 1 hits. David now has 3 top 40 hits simultaneously, with ‘Sweat’ at 6 and the long running ‘Who’s that chick’ at 38. As for Nicki, ‘Where them girls at’ instantly becomes her biggest hit to date, she’s had 4 previous UK hits, most recently ‘Girls fall like dominoes’ which peaked at 24 last month. David Guetta and Flo Rida have of course worked together in the past; their collaboration ‘Club can’t handle me’ climbed to the top last summer.
David and the crew stop Chris Brown and Benny climbing further for now; 'Beautiful people' stays at 4 having moved up continuously for the last month.
There are lots of climbers heading into and towards the top 10; Jessie J’s ‘Nobody’s perfect’ climbs 9 to number 9 becoming her 3rd top 10 hit in its 3rd charting week. Right behind, climbing to another new peak is Aloe Blacc’s ‘I need a dollar’, up 5 places to number 10 in its 3rd charting week.
At 11, Adele’s 5 week long number 1 hit ‘Someone like you’ climbs back up a place in its 14th charting week.
Rocketing 13 places up the chart is Pitbull, Ne-Yo & Afrojack’s ‘Give me everything’, now at a new number 12 peak, in the process becoming Pitbull’s 7th top 20 hit and Ne-Yo’s 12th.
Plummeting from the top 10 however is Nero’s ‘Guilt’, it slips 7 to 15.
The second-highest new entry ‘I can’, the Eurovision song contest entry for the UK marks the return of UK boyband Blue, debuting at number 16, its their 13th UK Top 40 hit and the first since ‘Curtain falls’ peaked at number 4 back in November 2004. Their biggest hits are of course their 3 number 1’s, the last being ‘Sorry seems to be the hardest word’ in December 2002.
It seems it wasn’t meant to be for Beyonce’s ‘Run the world’, after climbing to number 11 last week, not only does it fail to climb into the top 10, it falls 8 places to number 19.
Creeping up the chart again is Birdy’s ‘Skinny love’, now in it’s 9th charting week it’s up 2 to a new number 17 peak.
Lady Gaga’s plummet down the chart shocked us all last week, but the fans can breathe a sigh of relief at the u-turn of ‘Judas’, climbing back up 3 places at number 20 in its 4th charting week. Whether or not it can beat the number 9 peak it climbed to a fortnight ago remains to be seen.
One of last week’s new entries making progress is Chase and Status’ ‘Time’, it’s up 17 to number 21.
After making her chart debut last week, this week Wynter Gordon leaps up the countdown, ‘Dirty talk’ is up 9 places to 25.
The news is bad for Britney Spears, having failed to reach the top 20 since it first entered the chart in early March, last week it climbed to 22, this week however it slides again, dipping 4 to 26.
Just outside the top 30 is a chart debut for Romanian singer Alexandra Stan, ‘Mr Saxobeat’ enters at 31.
At 33 is a new entry for US female singer Dev, ‘Bass down low’ is her second UK Top 40 hit, the first being her collaboration with The Cataracs ( who also feature on this new track) and Far East Movement ‘Like a G6’ which peaked at 5 last December.
Jennifer Lopez’ ‘On the floor’ only left the top spot 4 weeks ago, but already she has a new arrival, ‘I’m into you’, her collaboration with US R&B star Lil Wayne is new at 40. It brings her UK Top 40 hit count up to 19 and Lil Wayne’s up to 12, his last chart success being ‘No love’, his collaboration with Eminem which peaked at 33 last November.
What will happen in 7 days time, can LMFAO’s ‘Party rock anthem’ hang on to the top for a 5th week and become the second hit this year to do so, Will Bruno climb and make ‘Lazy song’ his 4th chart topper, or will David Guetta or Chris Brown make the jump to the top? Also expect some new entries which could challenge LMFAO on next weeks countdown as the following are available now:

Cat's Eyes - Face In The Crowd
Clare Maguire - The Shield And The Sword
Clare Teal - One More (Baby Be Good To Me)
