The re-release of Eminem’s fifth studio album includes seven bonus tracks, including the single “Forever”, also featuring Drake, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne (previously found on the More Than A Game soundtrack), “Taking My Ball” (also released only with the DJ Hero video game), and five never-before-heard tracks. “I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned” Eminem says. “Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year”.

Eminem's 'Recovery' Explodes At No. 1 on Billboard 200 With 741,000

Eminem's "Recovery" will blast in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week with 741,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's the largest sales week for a single album since October 2008, when AC/DC's "Black Ice" debuted with 784,000 in its first week.

"Recovery" is the hip-hop king's sixth straight No. 1 debut -- and sixth overall chart-topper on the Billboard 200. His only set to miss the top spot was his "Slim Shady LP" debut, which bowed and peaked at No. 2 in 1999. Among hip-hop acts with the most No. 1 albums, only Jay-Z has earned more, with 11.

The debut sales week of "Recovery" surpasses the first week of Eminem's last set, "Relapse," which began at No. 1 in 2009 with 608,000. It also beats the opening of 2005's "Curtain Call: The Hits" which entered at No. 1 with 441,000 in 2005.

Eminem's new album also wows digitally, as downloads made up 255,000 of its first week. That's the second-biggest digital week for an album in history. Only Coldplay's "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends" notched a larger frame, when it debuted with 288,000 downloads in the summer of 2008.

Eminem also naturally makes big news on the Digital Songs chart with his "Recovery" collaboration with Rihanna, titled "Love the Way You Lie." It debuts at No. 1 with 338,000 downloads sold. Slim Shady's brand new album, "Recovery," shot to No. 1 on the album charts, selling a whopping 85,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.

The album figures make "Recovery" the best debut of 2010, and also surpassed Em’s sales of 2009's "Relapse," which started on top with 64,000.

Miley Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed" came in at No. 2 with 13,000 in sales, Drake's "Thank Me Later" (12,000) sank from No. 1 to No. 3

Eminem makes it five weeks in a row at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as "Recovery" sells another 187,000 (down just 4%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. Rick Ross' "Teflon Don" arrives in the runner-up spot with 176,000. Ross' last three studio albums all debuted at No. 1, with his last set, 2009's "Deeper Than Rap," arriving with 158,000. The opener for "Teflon" is Ross' best sales week since 2008's "Trilla" arrived with 198,000.

• A week ago industry observers had initially projected that Ross had a good shot at a No. 1 debut. However, "Recovery" held on strong with a small weekly sales decline. Chalk that up in part to its sale pricing at Target and Best Buy and the continued popularity of its single "Love the Way You Lie." It reigns atop the Digital Songs chart for a fifth straight week (332,000 downloads; down 6%).

Singer-songwriter Johnny Reid still had a place atop the Canadian album charts this week.
His new effort, "A Place Called Love," remained at No. 1 this week, selling 13,000 copies, according data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

eminem might not be the most tech-savvy dude in the business, but he reigned over the u.s. Digital charts in 2010. Not only was he the top-selling artist for overall streams -- his songs last year generated 94 million streams, according to nielsen soundscan's year-end totals -- but his "love the way you lie" (featuring rihanna) was the year's top-streaming song and his "recovery" lp topped the list of digital album downloads.

His overall stream total last year topped taylor swift's total of 77 million by about 17 million units.
