And it's bigger, better and badder than ever before! So without any further ado, let's bring in our fabulous host, the one, the only

ICEWEAVER

:cheer::cheer::cheer:

Good evening ladies and gentlemen (and Diego), and welcome to the all-new

TOP-ANSWERS GAME

The game where YOU, our wonderful audience, get to decide what the answers to a host of questions should be. That's right, for five fantastic rounds, YOU, our phenomenal audience, will submit the answers that you think most fit the questions. It's a game where anything can happen, and it's brought to you in association with

http://nedcolville.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/coca-cola-funky-logo.jpg?w=500&h=353

the makers of a host of wonderful, refreshing soft drinks that are sure to put a smile on your dial and leave you feeling hyper and bloated!

So let's jump right into the first round, shall we? I'd like to call upon my beautiful assistant Spawner to bring in the envelope with the first set of questions. Thank you Spawner, you're looking lovely tonight in that mini-skirt and black fishnet stockings! What's that, love? I haven't explained the rules yet? Why yes, you're quite right! You can't have a game without rules now, can you! These aren't the offices of Arthur-Andersen!

Right folks, here's how the game works. I will post a set of questions to which there could be more than one answer. Each of you must then send me a PM before the deadline for each round containing a list of answers that you think the other players will choose. Remember, it's not about choosing the right answer, it's about choosing the answer that you think everyone else will choose!

Round one will commence shortly and you must get your answers to me by NEXT FRIDAY, APRIL the 1st by 11:59pm GMT. The results from the first round will be broadcast live on Sunday April the 3rd at 10:00am GMT (provided I'm not asked to host the Oscars or something at short notice!)

And now, a word from our sponsors:

Had a tough day at the office? Bored to tears by your lecturer? Ready to expel your teacher? Let it all fizzle away with COKE, the most popular soft drink in the world*. The sensational taste will leave you refreshed and ready to take on the world while the acids and sugar in the drink will eat away your teeth and stomach and leave you with indigestion and heart problems. Coke, open happiness!

And we're back and about ready to start the first round of TOP ANSWERS!! So hold on to your hats folks, cos things are about to go wild!!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

[Cue music fanfare, lasers, fireworks etc.]

http://www.bazaardesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/golden-card-suits-with-gems1.jpg

- Hearts: 4
- Spades: 2
- Diamonds: 1

Pretty easy question to start with. Did you know that the most common suit of cards (the popular Hearts, Diamonds, Spades and Clubs set) is called a French suit? I didn’t!

CAR MANUFACTURER

http://i54.tinypic.com/2n66ixz.jpg

- Ford: 2
- Toyota: 2
- Honda: 1
- Renault: 1
- Ferarri: 1

Bit of an open question there. Guess there are just too many brands to choose from! :P

CURRENCY

- Queen Elizabeth: 5
- Prince William: 2

I’m not going to say anything here since I think the royals are SOOOO overrated! ;)

ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD

http://ladyraine.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/egypt-pyramids.jpg?w=550&h=352

- Great Pyramid of Giza: 5
- Sphinx: 1
- Statue of Zeus: 1

I couldn’t give the point for the Sphinx since even though it’s also at Giza, it isn’t technically one of the Seven Wonders. Sorry!

- Sebastian Loeb: 1

I didn’t know Arnie was a racecar driver! :tehe:

By the way folks, you do know there are other kinds of racing other than Formula one, right? ;) There’s NASCAR, rallying (glad to see Sebastian Loeb there!), drag racing, the Would Touring Car Championship etc. Racing is cool, man!

A WORD STARTING WITH THE LETTER ‘Z’

STELLAR OBJECT

http://i53.tinypic.com/15yisev.jpg

- Sun/Star: 5
- Moon: 1

Brilliant results show Iceweaver! Sorry I wasn't here, got stuck round at my mum's house for longer than I thought I'd be.

Yes, rolled up body in a carpet was me. Not that I have a dead body in my loft before anybody calls the plods. :D Honest!

Well I did better than I thought I would, fully expected to be last. Loving the next set of questions, the only one I'd have to research would be the VESC one, I'm familiar with WWII fighter planes because, on the Prison housing estate, every street was named after a WWII fighter plane because it was an American airfield in the war.

:lmfao:

Seriously though, what the hell is wrong with people? They don't have play equipment in case a kid gets hurt? That is so friggin stupid! Kids are going to hurt themselves, it's a fact of life. But take away the 'healthy' play stuff and they'll end up doing what Spawner did and actually do themselves even more harm (no offense Cath ;)) Now I understand why the kids in Britain are such hooligans.

But let me guess: they do things like this because they don't want the parents of a hurt child to sue them. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but we can thank America for that mentality. Oh no, I spilled hot McDonalds coffee on myself, I shall now sue McDonalds for $1,000,000,000,000 for not telling me that my coffee was hot. It actually makes me sick to see how pathetic people have become.

Rant over ;)

Spawner

A lot of schools simply could not afford the insurance if they had climbing-frames and swings. Plus you have to have that silly foam flooring too, unlike the olden days when parks had gravel floors. The McD's Hot Apple Pies are the killer for me with CAUTION! HOT! flashed across the front - the clue's in the name.

I think it's just sad. Where are kids supposed to play, then? What do they do during break-time?

They play games on their mobile phones or DS's. Primary school children chase each other round the playground and play games that require imagination. There's usually a hopscotch grid painted on the floor but I can't imagine many children even know how to play that now. Even skipping ropes have died a death, they're reserved for the keep-fit brigade now.

The numbers in brackets are the total number of questions attempted.

Not many changes in positions this round! People obviously seem quite happy with the status quo! The only change was the flipping of positions one and two. Once again, RihannaRunsThisTown did not submit any answers (has anyone heard from him lately??)

What's happening is you lot are all choosing different answers to me and Iceweaver's questions are hard, so many answers to choose from! :D

Can't believe that I put EA as the games company and then changed it to Blizzard before I sent the answers in. As to the question about what you don't want to catch your kids doing, well I've already caught her smoking, swearing and eating dirt so I chose something else.

Last place, ho hum. :(

HeatSeeker

This is why I don't like this game - I tried harder last round and did poorly, did it quickly this time and got 1st  Thanks for the results again Morg. I like your questions a bit better this round :tehe: Although I do have a couple queries:

Does the blade itself count for #9? Also, what do you mean by #13? Things like this (http://computersettings.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/computer-components.gif) or this (http://www.warepin.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/computer-hardware-part-6.jpg) or both?

Spawner

Just answer the bloody questions Diego! I've already sent my answers in so you'd better not pull one of those stunts like you did with the playground one last week and get an answer banned.

What's wrong with having the questions clarified? And my stunt actually benefited Wayne, who would have gotten no points for that question otherwise =P

Yes, the blade itself does count. Remember that it's just one of the many useful implements found in a pocket knife ;)

For your second question, your second image is correct. I'm looking for something inside the computer tower itself.

It's ok to clarify questions. I get the feeling some of the ones I'm asking aren't all that straightforward :P

The numbers in brackets are the total number of questions attempted.

Heatseeker remains firmly in the lead with a great performance of 13 out of 14 top answers this round. Mattias is only 9 points behind, though. Wayne squeezes up into third place with Mister Duckington only 1 point behind in fourth. Spawner remains content in fifth while 24/7 Entertainment jumps into sixth because Freeze did not submit any answers for this round. RihannaRunsThisTown once again did not submit any answers and remains in eighth place.
