So I'm building on my knowledge of British history at the moment, by watching these period films with added drama. Whilst I know the historical accuracy of this is somewhat questionable, its still a really good film (the first 30 minutes drag on a bit) but after that, its truly great! It really puts to shame the old attitude of women being second class citizens. And sheds some light on why Henry VIII was so vicious. I'd definitely recommend this:
8/10
The actor that plays Henry is fantastic in the role. And the actress that plays the Boleyn mother is so understated, yet her role is pivotal to the film, and the actress herself should be proud. I love her line:
"We need to let the men think they are in control"
And ultimately, she is right! Thats how women succeeded - that one philosophical statement
