With still one week from the show, P!nk has officially sold out Madison Square Garden. She has often commented that the US does not appreciate her the way other countries do. Lower record sales than European countries as well as Australia made P!nk previously shy away from attempting a headlining arena tour.

What started out as a test run in 11 US markets, plus 1 Canadian stop, the full production of the Funhouse show has proven that the US does stand behind genuine talent and recognizes that P!nk is the real deal. At a time when other shows are giving away tickets to fill seats or “postponing” tours, P!nk is selling out the largest arenas and leaving an exclamation mark in her wake.

The West Coast and the state of Texas have been left breathless and concert reviews continue to describe P!nk as the example of what a true performer is meant to be. Ticket sales are backing up those statements.

With 6 dates left on the North American tour schedule, tickets to this show are a hot commodity. Half of the remaining cities have sold out while only upper levels of the other half are available. Among the sold out venues is the prestigious Madison Square Garden which will hold 17,000 of P!nk’s closest friends to close out the American tour.

Pink DVD Continues Strong Sales

The Pink `Funhouse Tour: Live In Australia` DVD is continuing to be one of the biggest selling music items on sale in Australia seven weeks after release.

The DVD sold 18,025 units this week making it the third biggest selling item behind Susan Boyle ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ and Michael Buble ‘Crazy Love’.

In total, the Pink DVD has sold 211,113 units across the seven weeks it has been on sale, including an amazing 60,333 units in its second week on sale. That was the biggest one week sales for a music item in Australia so far for 2009.

Pink also has the number 13 album this week for the ‘Funhouse’ album. She is also at no. 66 with ‘Missundaztood’.

Sony also released a live CD from the Australian show last week.
