Hotel Rwanda
- Based on a true story, this has probably the most gripping story to it of any fact-based movie I've ever watched. The acting is so good, and the script so spot on, that I felt the need to research the Rwandan crisis more after. I can honestly watch this movie over and over and over. The lead actor is astounding in his delivery - incredibly emotional, realistic and chilling - 10/10
Jack
- Cry, cry, cry, cry, cry!!!!! This is soo sad. I bawl every time - again based loosely on a true story. Jack is no ordinary child, he ages at 10x the normal rate - so when he's 18 and ready to graduate, his organs and physical appearance have advanced and aged to those of a 72 year old. When he gives the speech at the end, my tears flow. It forms part of my ultimate trifector of movie recommendations. Robin Willaims is brilliant!
Dangerous Minds
- One of the most underrated movies ever, and yet another that makes me cry (pattern - much?!). Michelle Pfeiffer plays a blinding role - this actually (as corny as it may sound) confirmed for me my desire to teach. Its so inspirational, and so moving, that one woman could alter the lives of so many young people. Just a great movie!! And Michelle is gorgeous as ever

That's 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory', which is nowhere near as good or loyal as the Tim Burton version.

The book is one of my absolute favourites and I hated the amount of singing in the 1971 film.
Johnny Depp was BRILLIANT as Wonka. I never liked Gene Wilder's interpretation.

I like the version with Johnny Depp, but my fave has got to be the 1971 version. One thing they could have changed is when Veruca falls down the garbage chute. She should have tried to climb up the "eggdicator" and fell. Then it'd be a better ending than to just stand up on it for the end of your song.

Interesting choices..
Mine are:
Scream (1, 2, 3)
I first watched the original 'Scream' movies 6 years ago and I remember I was soooo scared, I couldn't sleep! Literally! Then I bought a DVD containing all movies and carefully watched them all. I was in love! Wes Craven is a geinus, along with Kevin Williamson! Since then (about 4 years ago), I've been watching those movies over and over again and I am NEVER bored when I see them again. I love them SO much! I literally know all the lines in the first scene of Scream 1. Also, Neve Campbell played the role of Sindey so greatly, I would give her 10 Oscars!
Scary Movie (1, 2, 3, 4)
Anna Farris is so hilarious! Love her! This movie is actually the reason I watched Scream. I didn't know this was a parody in the first place, as I first seen it in 2001, when it first came out. I was so scared. Then later, when I saw Scream, I got the joke and laughed so hard I couldn't breathe! I love every movie in the series and my fave scene from all of them is definitely Brenda's death In Scary Movie 3, where she fights with Tabitha! 'Cindy, this b!tch is messing up my floor!'
Meet The Parents / Meet The Fockers
Hilarious! Gotta love Robert DeNiro... I love how Ben Stiller is put into most embarrasing situations you could ever imagine. I love these 2 movies.
A Nightmare On Elm Street (1-8)
I love Freddy Krueger! He's hilarious! He's the reason behind my username here.
I'm generally a fan of horror/slasher movies.
