Just curious: In general, what type of artists do you prefer in regards to gender and solo vs group?

Call me stereotypical, but I'm all about the divas! Celine, Mariah, Whitney, Barbra, Bette, Cher, Tina, Shirley, Christina, Donna, Cyndi - all rank high on my top artists list (well, not so much Bette, but I love her voice). However, over the last two years I've softened towards male artists; I used to adopt some sort of barracade against them, and just avoided them. However, my top artists list now contains the likes of Roy Orbison, George Michael, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, John Lennon, and more. I'm on the fence with bands; I'm not overly fond of many bands, on an all-time basis; U2, Stereophonics are probably the two that I'd rank highest. Love them both.

When I think about this, I probably should've voted 'no preference' as music is music to me at the end of the day. However, I couldn't live without Celine in my life, so divas/females it just had to be! <3
