I've been a gamer since I could read. I've grown up with a multiplex of consoles, from the Mega Drive (Genesis for you Americans), all the way up through to the PS3/360 nowadays. I don't do console favouritism--if you're a real gamer, you appreciate the games, not "lol mi console pwnzorz urs". I currently play the DS, PSP, and PS3. My 360 unfortunately passed on due to a disk read error some time back, and I haven't gotten around to replacing it.

My favourite games change often, but right now I'm spending a lot of time on Dragon Quest IX (DS), Resonance of Fate (PS3), and Dissidia: Final Fantasy (PSP).

I'm a creative person by nature. I write almost constantly, be it stories, poetry, or just random musings. I also attempt art, and am in the process of drawing my own manga.

Anime-wise, I like a wide variety of shows. Busou Renkin is one of my favourites, though. Along with Getbackers, Kannazuki no Miko, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Not to mention Elfen Lied, Devil May Cry, Kiddy Grade, Full Metal Panic, DN Angel, Generator Gawl and Rune Soldier.

Anything else, just ask me something. I don't bite.

Hi Shiro. Welcome to Vanity Edge. Are you from the UK, just asking because you say "you Americans"? My other half loves the Final Fantasy games but I've noticed the seemingly best one for playability that he's been playing for well over 18 months is Disgaea on the PSP. He's on the latest Final Fantasy (whatever number it is, I lost track about five years ago) on the PS3.

Welcome, great introduction! I agree what you said about "real gamers", although I'm not much of a video game person nowadays.

How'd you find out about this forum?

LOL your first paragraph is legendary! :P

I LOVED the mega drive, was an amazing console. Golden Axe, PacMan, Sonic <33333

Where does your username take its inspiration from? Anime I'm guessing.

Spawner - Yes, I'm from the UK. The southwest to be more precise. Final Fantasy Dissidia (I assume that's the game you mean) is a fun game, but it gets boring after a while I've found. Though that's mostly because I'm a perfectionist and want to complete EVERYTHING. xD & the PS3 game is Final Fantasy 13.

HeatSeeker - I just feel a real gamer doesn't get into the console war, because the games are what make the console--not the other way around. I found the forum in an advert on Wober.net.

Wayne - My favourite Mega Drive games were Streets of Rage, Toejam & Earl, Shinobi, Phantasy Star, and Altered Beast. My username is the name of the character I created 8 years ago for stories and RPing. She's grown as I have.

It's Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness for the PSP, it wasn't released in the UK so I got an american one from Ebay. If you like Final Fantasy you'd love it, apart from the fact that it's impossible to finish.

I actually own that, and the sequel Dark Hero Days for the PSP. It's available as a DDL on the Playstation Network. :3
