Hullo, hullo!

My apologies if you've tried to access the site since the early hours of this morning. Up until 3:00pm-ish, the site was experiencing downtime, and you were all receiving copious amounts of 'the site has taken too long to respond' messages.

I contacted the webhosts, who said:


Hello,

There was some problem on the server so we have rebooted the server and thus
you are facing problem in between. Now all services working fine.

At the moment, there are problems with the site database, hence my lack of activity, and no new topics. Its affecting new topic creations, page loading times, posts and more.

Shall keep you all updated. Working on it with my hosts

That happenned to me a few times, and I was going to post about it, but it wouldn't let me.

I've had trouble with the site not loading today or taking ages to load one page.

I've been @ work all day, but by various accounts, the site has been incredibly slow, unstable and even unaccessible today. So I did indeed send a strongly worded email to my webhosts, who replied with apologies. What they've done is installed a bolt on onto the server that hosts this website (and other websites such as Photobucket), and it hasn't gone to plan. The bolt on was intended to make things more efficient, and faster, but it obviously isn't working as it should. Apparently, they have passed the issue onto their senior admin who is working on resolving it, and I should hear about it sometime soon.

Haven't had any problems myself, but I've been at work all day so I'm just coming on now! All seems top notch!

Some major problems this morning, but I've been reassured by my hosts that the bolt on is now stable. The site should be fine :)
