This programme broke down a lot of barriers for gay men and women around the world. It shed a new light on "our culture" and has helped groups such as Stonewall develop a name. Shocking, harrowing and honest, I think its the best "gay show" there ever was. I personally preferred the US version much more!

Oh I loved Queer As Folk,both versions.

I saw the Uk version first,but loved the US version just a teensy bit more,as i think the characters were more likeable (except for the teen guy,that was staying with the gay male couple).

UK version - the 'actor' Charlie Hunham (sp?) is awfully wooden.For me,he was the only weak link and must have got the part on his good looks alone.

The Uk version had the better music though !!

Yeah. On a whole, I thought the UK version was funnier, but the acting standard I really didn't like, yet felt it was authentic to the way people would've behaved? The US version coming full circle (Brian confessing his love for Justin) was such a gorgeous moment!

Didn't watch it as much as I should have the ones I did were great, there were plenty of hot men in it though that's for sure! :D

I only watched one ep of the UK one, it was horrible lol. And the guy who plays Brian in the UK one is soooooooo fug and he is supposed to be HOT! Then again no one compares to Gale Harold <3
