I simply love this album. Not a bad track - it does have its "average" moments, but its still IMO one of the best albums released during 2009 and certainly the best rock album in years.

The album has now been edged to the no2 slot in the list of top-selling albums of 2009! It now follows Lady Gaga's The Fame. Anyways, has anyone been to see them on their current tour? By all accounts, its one of the greatest live shows ever.
I still listen to Magnificent repeatedly now.

This album is so sub par and mediocre. Its quite sad because U2 is one of my favorite bands ever. They're usually incredibly consistent but this effort is really poor. Better luck next time, Bono and Edge!

I really love this album. Stand-outs are Get on Your Boots and Magnificent.

According to the U2 manager NLOTH has already done over 4 million
from the article [ links above]
I ask about U2's latest album, No Line on the Horizon, which was released in February this year and has sold fewer copies than any album by the band for a decade. "We were not anticipating that we would not have a hit single to drive the record," McGuinness admits. "That was an unpleasant surprise."
Our gnudi arrive in a brown butter sauce with a few crisp sage leaves on top. "Isn’t that wonderful -- the gnudi?" he asks, enjoying the word again. The album has still sold more than 4m copies, he says, but he doesn't hide his disappointment. "It didn't work in the marketplace. It worked creatively, I think. If people give themselves the treat of sitting down with big speakers, playing it properly and giving it the time that an album needs, I think it's a magnificent record."

Well 4m is not ideal, but still. Could've been much worse I suppose. I absolutely adore this record too
