Rap superstar Eminem's new album, the follow-up to last year's Grammy-winning Relapse, was originally titled Relapse 2 and meant to be released in 2009. It has since been pushed back to June 2010 and re-titled Recovery, and will feature the US #1, Not Afraid.

^ Same here.
"Not Afraid" is still holding a top 10 position on iTunes (#7 last time I checked), while it's airplay is slowly growing (it's 21m atm). Eminem's never really needed a huge hit to sell records, but many people feel his last two albums weren't up to his standards. I would hope that he'd be able to reestablish himself as an unstoppable force in hip hop, like the good old days (1999-2003). However, I doubt that will happen, because it seems like he's accomplished what he needed to in his first several years, and now he's just enjoying the fortune he made and being a parent. Of course, he's still doing well, but if the trend continues his record sales will get progressively less magnificent.

According to TheHottestIshh.Net "Love The Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna will be the second single:
Quote:
Eminem's Second Single Will Feature Rihanna ''Love The Way You Lie'' And It's Produced By Alex Da Kid
I was just thinking a couple hours ago when I was listening to this that it should be a single at some point, so that's good! I like the chorus, it has the potential to do well but we'll see.

SCORE ONE FOR EMINEM
Recovery Scores Year’s Largest First Week with 600k+, Miley Cyrus Next
June 23, 2010
The record industry just scored its own golden goal. Can a full Recovery be far behind?
Offering conclusive proof that Marshall still matters, Eminem’s aptly named Recovery will score the year’s highest sales debut. Look for a total of between 590-615k for the Shady/Aftermath/Interscope album, easily beating Sade’s 503k back in February. It could also beat his last album, Relapse, which sold 608k in its first week in May ’09.
That’s based on totals from those music retailers who haven’t painted their faces red, white and blue and shown up in South Africa with vuvuzelas in tow for the World Cup.
In addition, Em’s duet with Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie,” has currently supplanted Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” as the top iTunes download.

Yes! I wasn't expecting this to beat his last debut - it's not often an act opens with over 600k two years in a row, especially nowadays! Phenomenal.

Well some of them I do:
Marshall Mathers LP: 63,000
Curtain Call: 113,000
Encore: 122,459
Eminem Show: 228,000
Relapse: 166,952
Recovery: 139,438
ALL were #1 albums. He's had an incredible history of #1 albums - in fact, I think he's the solo artist with most #1 albums over the last decade

Eminem's 'Recovery' Explodes At No. 1 on Billboard 200 With 741,000
Eminem's "Recovery" will blast in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week with 741,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's the largest sales week for a single album since October 2008, when AC/DC's "Black Ice" debuted with 784,000 in its first week.
"Recovery" is the hip-hop king's sixth straight No. 1 debut -- and sixth overall chart-topper on the Billboard 200. His only set to miss the top spot was his "Slim Shady LP" debut, which bowed and peaked at No. 2 in 1999. Among hip-hop acts with the most No. 1 albums, only Jay-Z has earned more, with 11.
The debut sales week of "Recovery" surpasses the first week of Eminem's last set, "Relapse," which began at No. 1 in 2009 with 608,000. It also beats the opening of 2005's "Curtain Call: The Hits" which entered at No. 1 with 441,000 in 2005.
Eminem's new album also wows digitally, as downloads made up 255,000 of its first week. That's the second-biggest digital week for an album in history. Only Coldplay's "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends" notched a larger frame, when it debuted with 288,000 downloads in the summer of 2008.
Eminem also naturally makes big news on the Digital Songs chart with his "Recovery" collaboration with Rihanna, titled "Love the Way You Lie." It debuts at No. 1 with 338,000 downloads sold. It's the sixth time the rapper has topped the Digital Songs chart and the second time he's done it this year, following "Not Afraid's" entry atop the list back in May with 379,000.

Eminem Storms To The Top Of European
EMINEM is an all-conquering world power once again - his new album (http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/eminem-storms-to-the-top-of-european-chart_1150589#) has shot to the top of the European charts days after debuting at the top of the U.S. and British countdowns.
Recovery also claimed number ones in Ireland, Switzerland, Austria and Denmark and number two debuts in Germany, France and Norway to beat Miley Cyrus' Can't Be Tamed to the top of the continent's overall chart.
The Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. (The Energy (http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/eminem-storms-to-the-top-of-european-chart_1150589#) Never Dies) returns to the top 10 at three, Oasis' hits album Time Flies - 1994-2009 drops a spot to four, and Lady Gaga's The Fame rounds out the new top five.

Rihanna on "Love The Way You Lie"
“It’s something that, you know, we’ve both experienced, you know, on different sides, different ends of the table,” Rihanna told Access of her reasons for taking part in the song.
“He pretty much just broke down the cycle of domestic violence and it’s something that people don’t have a lot of insight on,” Rihanna said of Eminem’s track.

Wayne

As a non song-writer, Susan Boyle is set to earn £20m from her upcoming album. She earned £4m from her debut. This wasn't and wont all come from album sales though, but from the era as a whole.
I anticipate that Em will earn about £10-£15m from the sale of his albums alone. And about £2m from his digital tracks, if he's lucky. Back in the nineties, an act would earn an amazing amount from album sales

Chrysler Canada Gets bang from Super Bowl Ad
http://www.thestar.com/business/article/936077--chrysler-canada-gets-bang-from-super-bowl-ad
“It has certainly resonated with a lot of people,” said Chrysler Canada president Reid Bigland. “We normally get an average of about 35,000 to 40,000 hits on any given day. It was nearly 100,000 on Monday and still up 40 per cent from normal on Tuesday.”
Neilson Co., which measures television viewership, said the Chrysler ad placed fourth as the most watched car commercial in the game that attracted 117 million people worldwide. YouTube reported more than 4.5 million viewings of the Chrysler ad alone in the first day after the game.
