I love the Sugababes, but I'm not loving the first single from this album, as it happened to me for "Catfights & Spotlights." I hope the rest of the album is good. :(

The last Sugababes single I liked was 'About You Now'. I hope their new stuff is a vast improvement and nothing like their mediocre new single.
OMG I can't wait for this.
Get Sexy has grown on me soooo much. I absolutley love it now :D

New interview with Amelle:
AMELLE's PARTNER IN GRIME ; Life so Sweet for Sugababe With No.1 Man Tinchy
August 30, 2009
By MICKEY McMONAGLE
Gorgeous Sugababe Amelle Berrabah is celebrating a No.1 - even though the girl band's new single isn't out until next week. The beautiful 25-year-old hit the top spot after being recruited by red-hot grime star Tinchy Stryder to collaborate on his latest track Never Leave You - and she will now be up against herself in a chart battle when Sugas single Get Sexy is released.
She said: "I am so chuffed with the No. 1, love the song and Tinchy is great. We went out to celebrate and had a lovely time. He's a bit of a star, he's on fire.
"It was great fun doing something different. I felt it was an honour to be asked as he thought my voice was right. I was really happy to do it and the girls were totally supportive, really encouraging.
"And I could be up against myself for No.1, which is very weird. I can't lose I suppose, so it's all good but I hope our single goes well. We've been working really hard on the album so I hope people like it."
Amelle is keen to reassure fans the slick, stylish girl band are going nowhere - her solo success has sparked yet another fresh wave of rumours that a split is imminent. But Amelle is hugely enthusiastic about the new album from the band - as far as she is concerned, her future lies with the Sugababes.
She said: "There are no split plans. We've just signed a new three-album deal, so we are going nowhere. I would not have done it without the support of the other girls. They loved the song and they are my best friends. My loyalties lie with theSugababes. The girls know that. It's the only way to think of it.
"It was nice to do something new with such a talented artist who is brilliant to work with. I had such fun with him and he's a nice bloke. I've made a friend out of this too."
Amelle admits there could be more collaborations in the offing - and Tinchy may even be drafted in to work on future Sugas tracks. But if Kanye West or Jay-Z need a female vocal any time soon, they know where to come.
Amelle said: "We could definitely work with Tinchy in the future - it could be cool on the right track. It's always good to experiment. If I have time I will always be up for doing bits as a little side thing as long as it makes sense.
"We love working together and, of course, the band is our priority but sometimes doing your own little thing can give you a boost. So all three of us would try something on the side if it was right - especially now this one has gone so well . "It was funny, though, the first live thing me and Tinchy did was at Wireless festival and I was terrified. Keisha was there with me which really helped, telling me not to be stupid and get out there.
"I'm so used to having the two girls beside me that it just didn't feel right. I was so glad she was there for moral support. Having a boy beside me was just too strange - very wrong."
The Sugas release their seventh studio album in November and have pulled out all the stops to ensure it's their biggest yet. Following the limited commercial success, despite critical acclaim, of last year's Catfights and Spotlights with its retro sound, the girls have gone back to the drawing board for a complete reinvention. Calling on some of America's top songwriters and producers, they also drafted in Beyonce's choreographer to ensure they're on top of their game. And they have been snapped up by JayZ's new 360 management, music publishing and entertainment company Roc Nation.
Amelle said: "We have worked with the most amazing people on this new album, names like Stargate who did Beyonce and Rihanna, RedOne who produces Lady GaGa, Ne-Yo, loads. It's been incredible.
"There is so much more we want to do as a band, we are really excited and enthusiastic right now as we feel there is a lot ahead.
"It is a reinvention, to be honest. We felt it was time to do it. Music has changed so much and you have to go with the times. People get bored so quickly now and we wanted to try new things, like the choreography. We want to add something extra, moredance routines and more of a show."
Of course, with all these heavy-hitters from across the pond on the team, it's only natural that talk should turn to having a crack at America. The dream of every British artist, the world's most lucrative music market has proved a tough one for thelikes of Oasis, but Amelle is convinced the Sugas can do it with this record.
She said: "Going to the States has been talked about. You should always have ambitions and push yourself.
"We have always dreamed of going off and doing America, conquering it, since we have been kids so when the time is right we do want to go. We would like to try it and see how we do.
"I would hope now we have a chance more than ever before because of our sound - not that we have gone for an American sound, we want to be true to the UK and not be something we are not, but I think in my heart we could do it with this album.
"The idea of the tour bus driving across America is so appealing. In fact, I would love to get a convertible and do the drive anyway, a nice red Mustang."
Amelle won't be sorry to leave behind the personal problems of recent years. Her messy relationship with now ex-boyfriend Freddie Fuller landed her in the press for all the wrong reasons but now she is single and determined to put the past behind her.
She said: "I'm really happy now. I feel like me again, I'm enjoying life and hanging out with my friends. My feet are firmly on the ground and I feel clear-headed and ready to throw myself into work. With all the travel coming up, it's not a bad time tobe single."
However, she has not been put off men for good - they just need to get past her shyness.
She said: "I had been with someone since I was 19 and had not really had other boyfriends. I'm quite traditional. If I met someone I really liked, I would definitely go out on a date, even though I would be really embarrassed and wouldn't know what tosay. I am shy in that department.
"But if it happens I will know - I am not one to start searching for a man. I'm happy on my own but if it happens then great."

I've read that Jade cocked up a time or two in the interview?
Regardless, on my Facebook, a lot of friends statuses are of this nature:
"_____ _____ has just been converted to Sugababes 4.0 Jade sounds fabulous!"
Maybe the outcry has been sensationalised a little
^ Well, if you listen to the interview you can find out! :p
She was obviously very nervous. And it times it did come across VERY awkward. Which is weird, it's not like she's a rookie. I guess she's never been under this much spotlight before though.

I'm guessing this has been pushed back then! :( I hope Amelle gets better soon, but I want to see About A Girl blow up and turn into a massive hit
I'm guessing this has been pushed back then! :(
What makes you say that?
They just released the album cover, so things should be moving on as planned?
Still 4 weeks and a bit to (scheduled) release.

ewwwwwwwww, it's cheap nasty and looks like a PCD wannabe. They are losing any credibility and selling out........... SUGABABES=
So obviously done at the same time as the 'Get Sexy' cover shoot!
LOL @ the blatant photoshopping-in of Jade.
I like it though!
It's a very nice cover. One of my fave covers from them :D

Would be nice if it made top 10.
I bought my copy on Monday, but I have to say it's not really a "Sugababes" album, and that's because of the music, not because of Keisha leaving or Jade joining....

True. Keisha is lucky that she left in a way as people will associate it flopping due to her absence. It would have sold just as bad without her as the music (although I generally like the album) is so generic. It could be anyone singing those songs.

I think it's a good album, no doubt. Good for what it is.
As good as other Sugababes albums? NO WAY.
