While watching Kylie Minogue's show X2008 and got to thinking how amazing she looks for a woman of her age. She could easily pass for half her age and i'm sure that while Ms. Minogue would take care of herself outside of the limelight I doubt she'd look as great as she does. Even Madonna looks reasonably good for her age. There's loads of examples in the entertainment industry.

Take X Factor contestants for example, the audtionee's look like everyday people you'd see in the street. Come to the live shows and they look like stars.

I know there's surgery, make-up and much more available to them because of the fame factor.

I really wish I was famous so that I'd gain access to all the top tips, treatments and more...

What are your views? Does celebrity buy you perfection or not?

For some reason I think Neil will have strong opinions on this, and I honestly don't know why =/

Hm, in my opinion, money really can buy happiness - and looking good to many people (particularly celebrities) is either their profession or just their ambition. I think celebrity does buy happiness and potentially can buy visual perfection, however I don't think anybody is totally perfect (well besides Jennifer Aniston; I find it to be exhaustive to even think of a single imperfection about her ... being!).

To recap :

Visual perfection - yes, celebrity can buy you that (although it also can't, look at Mick Hucknall! Ain't no amount of money gonna sort him out)!!!!

On the flip side of this, some stars choose surgery not to attain perfection, but to make themselves more accessible to the field that they choose to lead their career in; take Celine for e.g. she could never have cracked the US market with those 'vampire' teeth, and that awful, frizzy hair, and her frumpy figure and her style-less dress sense. So she took 18 months off, had her teeth surgically repaired, and worked her ass into some fit shape and developed her own style. She came back looking gorgeous.

Make up wise - well I just love make up. However, I always say this : 'make up doesn't create beauty, it accentuates beauty'.

Great topic, Whore!
