So what are we getting up to then my lovelies?
I'm going out for the first time in weeks, and since I ended up in hospital (about 4-5 weeks ago) - mixture of happiness and petrified-ness! Its one pound drinks at the local gay bar I work at, and as staff I get further discounts too :P
Anyway, you lot...?:D

Well I ended up going to work to get drunk, and off my face before I went to the cocktail bar and club right...yes that was fine. Except I ended up helping out, collecting glasses and stuff, whilst I could hardly walk, and then - AND THEN - I ended up serving on the bar!! I had actually sobered myself up. I also ended up having to talk one of my best friends out of killing herself, bless her.
All in all, a brilliant night! lol

I'm going to get my personal license sorted tomorrow! I'm also curious to see the results of a bar inspection that we're having tomorrow, fingers crossed! I've then got work at 4pm-2am

On my own in here!
Today...we've got delivery at work, I've gotta sort my personal license out, prepare for next week when I'm in charge of the bar, get my hair cut, go out and get the Christmas decorations for work, prepare for the Christmas party that we're hosting for two Universities tomorrow night and then come home to get ready to go back to work in the evening for a loooong shift! :P

I like Wednesdays because Steve stays downstairs with his PS3 so it's the one night of the week I get a full night sleep.

For me:
More job hunting/applications; made two today [or three?], including one which took me over 40 minutes! And that was for a retail position
Cleaning my apartment ready for Daniel coming in the evening
Watching my weekly dose of Waterloo Road - Britain's best television show!
Other internet stuff
I'd normally be at work all day - ahh bliss, that I don't have to work there!

Aww, how is she?
To be blunt about it (sorry) she's dying. She's got a hole in her bowel and her body is poisoning itself. They can't operate because even if she survived the anaesthetic she wouldn't survive the ICU part afterwards and they might not even be able to repair it anyway. So she's just on painkillers and they've said it won't take long. Strange, it's like my other gran dying started her on a downhill slope. Hey ho, such is life.

Ah, sorry to hear that my lovely. A philosophical attitude to have, and one that I wish I had too. Always here if you ever need a chat :)
I'm just cooking tea - my day has been very unproductive, and I can't believe that I've let it get until 6pm before I've started job hunting! still, this is the best time :P

Well, I see it as "one out, one in", the old people have to die to make room for the new babies. 90 is a really good age and she's no longer mobile but most of her faculties are still there so it really upsets her that she can't do the things she used to do. She's fully aware of what's happening and before the surgical team decided that she wasn't strong enough for the op on Monday night she'd already decided that she didn't want it, knowing the consequences of not having it. This all happened on Monday, she'd thought she had a tummy bug a couple of weeks ago and ended up having to go in a care home on Friday last week because she was really weak from the bug and had a fall at home and couldn't get up again. Monday morning the care home staff couldn't get a steady pulse reading from her so they rang an ambulance because she already has congestive heart failure (when she got that her doctor told us she could go anytime without warning but she just carried on saying that if she was going to go anyway why try to change that). A&E did a scan and found that her stomach was full of air and liquid from a hole in her bowel.
