She`s my second favorite singer after Celine, her voice is a pure charm, her personality is the sweetest thing ever, plus she made perfect performances every single night she sang on the X-factor, and since then her talent just increases. I can't wait for her next album, her first one had some of my all time favorites now, Better In Time, Bleeding Love, Yesterday, I Will Be, RUN, Take a Bow, A Moment Like This  Damn I`m giving all the songs  well I`m addicted to all of them, plus her x factor performances, Summertime, I Have Nothing, I Will Always Love You, Whitout You, ETC
Oh I forgot to mention her AMAZING falsetto notes  she has such a range and a perfect control on it :P Here is an great vid of compilation of her best moments live  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKS26JU9K0A
I LOVE HER :D

Leona Lewis is easily the most boring and tedious artist of 2008. Her album is so safe and dull. Which is a shame because she has a really great voice. It can't touch Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, or Celine Dion but its still great nonetheless. Hope her next album is better.

I love her first album all the way :o I see nothing wrong with it, it`s an excellent debut, but yes I think she can get better with experience ;) We haven`t seen such an amazing debut in a very long while

I think her first album was safe a little boring and sounds a bit cheap and rushed. Except for a few stand out tracks, it sounds like they were struggling with whether she should be an RnB artist or straight up pop.

WHITNEY HOUSTON
Vocal acrobatics: 4/5. Still packs a mighty wallop, most notably on the skyscraping chorus of I Will Always Love You, though recent troubles may have dulled her vocal fire.
Elaborate outfits: 2/5. Never known for her style, she looks far from sexy on the cover of the new album, though it’s better than some of the tabloid shots during her lowest ebb.
Ridiculous demands: 3/5. Not so nutty really, though she did require an armoured car to take her on a tour of south-east Asia in 2004.
Rocky relationships: 5/5. Married to jailbird Bobby Brown from 1992 to 2007, their relationship was the subject of many drug rumours. He was charged with misdemeanour battery for allegedly striking her in 2003.
Quotability: 4/5. Most infamously: “We don’t do crack… Crack is wack.”
Fragrance: 0/5. None to date.
New album: I Look to You, released 19 October on Arista.
SHAKIRA
Vocal acrobatics: 3/5. More of a semi-yodel than the full hairdryer effect.
Elaborate outfits: 4/5. Not a big fan of clothes. Favours leotards in her latest video. Midriff exposed whatever the weather.
Ridiculous demands: 2/5. “Six bananas, five peaches and three mangoes” were required before one gig.
Rocky relationships: 2/5. Engaged forever to Antonio de la Rúa, son of the former president of Argentina. Almost certainly the only diva to count a Nobel Prize-winning author among her biggest fans, Gabriel Garcia Márquez.
Quotability: 5/5. Who could forget Whenever, Wherever’s classic couplet: “Lucky that my breasts are small and humble/So you don’t confuse them with mountains”?
Fragrance: 4/5. Amuleto, which reflects “an ethnic mixture of her soul and Latin sensuality, with exotic Arabian passion”.
New album: She Wolf, released 12 October on RCA.
LEONA LEWIS
Vocal acrobatics: 4/5. So far ahead of her X Factor competitors it was embarrassing.
Elaborate outfits: 2/5. Every day’s a wedding day for Leona. It’s one posh gown after another.
Ridiculous demands: 1/5. “I don’t need anything special to be happy. I have everything I need,” she says. Boring!
Rocky relationships: 1/5. Boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa is an electrician from Hackney she has known since she was 10.
Quotability: 1/5. “I’m not a loud, extravagant person. I’m never going to be that.” As bland as a professional golfer.
Fragrance: 3/5. Leona Lewis, an ethical perfume including blood orange, “passion-filled musk” and “bewildering currant”.
New album: Echo, released 16 November on Sony.
MARIAH CAREY
Vocal acrobatics: 5/5. A five-octave range. That’s a lot of notes.
Elaborate outfits: 3/5. Favours the leggy and busty, or simply a strategically placed hat on the Touch My Body single sleeve.
Ridiculous demands: 4/5. Ferries her Jack Russell around by chauffeur-driven Mercedes, though the believable notion that she “doesn’t do stairs” is sadly a myth.
Rocky relationships: 4/5. Side Effects, a song about her marriage to Tommy Mottola, mentions “violent times”.
Quotability: 4/5. “Butterflies follow me wherever I go.”
Fragrance: 5/5. M, combining incense, tiara flower and marshmallow, “embodies Mariah’s sensuality, beauty and glamour”.
New album: Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, released 28 September on Mercury.

IMO she was outshone by Cyndi at Divas in their performance, but then I am a massive Cyndi fan. Still, Cyndi's vocal was amaazing. Leona did good too - her live perf. of Happy was fantastic!

Leona Lewis Will Be The Celine Dion Of Avatar
http://www.cinemablend.com/images/news_img/15704/15704.jpg
WIth all the marketing focusing on cutting-edge technology and space weaponry and battle cries, there's something we're not really talking about with regard to Avatar-- it's probably going to have a lot in common with Titanic (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Leona-Lewis-Will-Be-The-Celine-Dion-Of-Avatar-15704.html#). Not only is James Cameron too smart and too money-hungry not to try and replicate just a little of his most successful movie (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Leona-Lewis-Will-Be-The-Celine-Dion-Of-Avatar-15704.html#) ever, but the plot elements are all there-- a forbidden love set against an action backdrop, two people coming together from two different worlds to try to unite, and let's face it, probably some kind of tragic ending.
With the recent announcement from Atlantic Records about the official Avatar soundtrack, we may be running into the "this is the new Titanic!" section of the marketing. And the key to it all is Leona Lewis. The British singer will be filling in the Celine Dion role this time, having recorded the film's end title song (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Leona-Lewis-Will-Be-The-Celine-Dion-Of-Avatar-15704.html#) "I See You." The title doesn't have quite the same ring as "My Heart Will Go On," but then again, maybe it won't have the same ear-splitting quality either. Lewis worked with composer James Horner and Simon Franglen on the song, the same two guys who created "My Heart Will Go On." Yes, all the elements are coming into place.
The Avatar soundtrack comes out December 15, 3 days before the movie premieres (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Leona-Lewis-Will-Be-The-Celine-Dion-Of-Avatar-15704.html#) globally.

VIDEO 1 - Run (Snow Patrol cover)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTf3M9GsvaI
VIDEO 2 - Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Oasis cover)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWoj45SgqOU
Just watching the above two videos, you can (in my opinion) see how much she's progressed as a vocalist. Both of the above are OUTSTANDING performances by ANY measure, but her sound in video 2 is much clearer, mature and less rough on the ears. Just outstanding

In 'can Leona Lewis ever catch a break?' news, her ex-boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa (pictured above) is reportedly demanding a £1.5 million payout for helping her get famous.
Music-News.com (http://www.music-news.com/shownews.asp?H=Leona-Lewis-ex-boyfriend-is-reportedly-demanding-a-andpound;1.5-million-payout-for-helping-her-get-famous&nItemID=35352) reports that the former electrician claims to have filled in the form for her to audition for UK TV talent show 'The X Factor', which she went on to win, making her a global superstar worth millions.
A friend of Lou's told The Sun newspaper: "He believes he has played a huge role in Leona's success. They have been together for more than 10 years and he has encouraged her to fulfill her potential. He believes he has the rights of a common-law husband.'
"He even filled in her 'X Factor' application form and believes he then played a huge role in her success.'
Leona and Lou's split last month was said to be amicable and was blamed on their busy work schedules.
The pair met aged 10 when they lived on the same street in Hackney, east London as children.
After Leona became famous, trainee electrician Lou was handed a job with record label Sony BMG as a talent scout and he now travels the world , spending much of his time in Los Angeles and Miami.
Lou's demands come after Leona is said to have offered him the their £600,000 house in Hackney ' just minutes from their families who still live in the area.
He has refused and wants more money as he also claims he owns rights to some of her biggest hits after setting her up with producers and recording opportunities.

Just watching this, you see why she's considered one of the finest vocalists in the world. She's too often passed off as an inferior Mariah Carey (and whilst I agree that she's not in Mariah's league), its performances like the above which will ensure she shakes off that tag. Run is such an epic song - to hear the audience sing the chorus with her, and then the choir coming out - just chilling!

Leona Lewis is going a little wild!
Leona Lewis disrupts stage show during night out
Posted: Friday 27 Aug 2010
Leona Lewis has apparently enjoyed a wild night out on the sauce!
Since Leona Lewis split from her boyfriend, she has started to REALLY let her hair down - and why not!
And in a complete turnaround from the usually impeccably-behaved Leona Lewis, the star disrupted a stage show during a boozy night out with friends!
Leona – who was reportedly drinking alcohol with pals – had been watching the Burn The Floor musical when she amazed theatregoers during a break in the performance when she started re-enacting saucy dance moves from the show!
She also apparently started shouting about how she had a crush on one of the show's female dancers!
A source said: "It was hilarious. The rowdy group brought plenty of attention to themselves by re-enacting the sexy lifts and moves from the show during the interval."
The source added to The Daily Mirror: "Leona seemed very impressed with Venezuelan dancer Karen Hauer. She kept shouting out: 'She's so hot!' "
Leona recently split from her boyfriend of 10 years, Lou Al-Chamaa, but has since been flooded with male attention.
She was spotted swapping numbers with The Wanted singer Max George, and went on a date with a mystery man to a zoo in Germany.
However, Leona's new party-girl persona has come as a surprise, as the pop star has previously blasted people who drink alcohol to have fun as having a "stupid mindset".
That's what a love-split will do to you - carry on Leona, it's good to get it out of your system!

Leona Lewis has performed a rendition of Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
The singer, who is currently working on her third studio album, performed an acoustic mash-up of the track along with 'O Holy Night' after receiving a number of requests from fans.
The 'Bleeding Love' star posted a video of the performance via her official Twitter page with the message: "Hi everyone, so I read all your tweets, and right now I'm going to sing a Christmas song for you all. I hope you enjoy it!"
Lewis later wrote: "Thank u so much every1! Your support always overwhelms me thank u xxx (sic)".
The star recently confirmed that she has recorded (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a290705/leona-lewis-works-with-guetta-on-new-lp.html) a track with French DJ David Guetta for her forthcoming studio set.

Her new stuff is going to be very different to "Spirit" and "Echo". She has been in the studio with Ryan Tedder, again, and has done a track with David Guetta. Simon Cowell said the album has a Summer 2011 deadline, so that means we will hear new music very soon.
