Thought I'd create an artist thread for her, since it wouldn't be right without one! She's known to her faithful fans as Babs; a very beautiful woman - the original diva - she's also one of the most successful female recording artists of all-time, with record sales of over 160m. She's also one of the greatest female singers ever, and certainly up there with the best ever 'belters'!

I'm just watching something on Youtube at the moment - when Rosie O Donnell meets Babs for the first time. Rosie is probably one of Babs biggest fans, as you'll see from this video should you watch it! Rosie cries! Aww!

I wrote this last night at UKMix:

"Babs has just been on Jonathan Ross and performed a couple of new songs from her new album, and she sounded immaculate. She also had about 50minutes of interviewing, and OHMYGOD, she was absolutely fabulous. This is THE most comfortable I have ever seen her in an interview. She was articulate, intelligent, flawless in EVERY way possible. The interview had the right balance of humor and seriousness, and was just a pleasure to watch! Honestly, the best hour of TV this year!"

I watched the repeat of Jonathan Ross last night..... she was great, lovely lady. However it's quite clear to see she can be a complete bitch when she needs to be (not a bad thing), she was very restrained.

Also I didn't realise that she doesn't particularly like singing OR performing. Don't get me wrong I am not a follower, infact I used to really hate her but I am building an interest in her slowly recently.

I think I am starting to appreciate her more and more.
